Metro Baybay is a ‘Compact Mall’ concept, the pioneer store of the Gaisano-led firm.

Executives from Metro Retail Stores Group, Inc. has confirmed that Baybay City will have a 2-story Metro Store, instead of a hypermarket.

The ground level will house Metro Department Store that will feature branded clothing, shoes, bags, accessories and other merchandise, complete with an al fresco dining fronting the sea. Metro Supermarket will occupy the second level with an air-conditioned dining area.

The store’s architect from 88 A.D. Designs, Mark Beron said, “Metro in Baybay City is not just a hypermarket but a compact mall”.

The store’s facade and interior will no longer have the predominant red colors of Super Metro. The colors of the building will now be on earth tones.

Metro Store Baybay is targeted to open in the last week of July 2019.
